Patrol News
Costessey
2010 Feb - A meeting was held at the Hart and leaflets put through doors on West End. 17 people are now on a rota and West End has been divided into three patrol zones. Some local people have been patrolling as individuals but it seems that many toads were lost on this busy road in previous years. Hopefully we can reduce that loss.
Ashwellthorpe
2010 Feb 8th - Nine people enjoyed a drink at the excellent White Horse and agreed to try and revive the patrol. Everyone will watch out for toads and we will meet again to plan a rota if toads are still using the pond. The toad sign was shut and will be kept shut until toads are moving.
Bowthorpe
2010 Feb 1st - about 17 people attended the planning meeting, including several new volunteers.
Great Melton
2010 Jan 29th - Three toad warning signs have been delivered. They fit into sockets and can be removed at the end of the season. We will put them up once the migration starts.
Little Melton
2010 Jan 25th - Sixteen people met for a drink at the Village Inn, including seven new volunteers from Great Melton and Hethersett - some as a result of the piece in Good News magazine. Sue will be doing the rota as last year.
